How it Works

We approve borrowers: LendforPeace.org partners with established microfinance institutions in the Palestinian Territories to select and screen borrowers.  These local partners rigorously examine each micro-entrepreneur to verify the soundness of his or her business plan and credibility.  To learn more about our due diligence process click here. You Choose an Entrepreneur: Approved micro-entrepreneurs appear on LendforPeace.org where you can browse their profiles and learn about their plans to grow a sustainable business. You Lend: Lend as little as $25 to your chosen entrepreneur using our platform. We transfer 100% of your loan to our local partner who distributes the loan to your micro-entrepreneur. You Receive Updates: Our local partners are responsible for monitoring and supporting entrepreneurs over the life of your loan. Our partners will regularly update you on the progress your entrepreneur is making. You Get Your Money Back!: As your micro-entrepreneur expands his or her business over the term of your loan, he or she will make repayments to our local partner. When your loan has been repaid in full, you can withdraw your money, re-loan it or donate it to our Revolving Microfinance Fund.
